The National Uniform
The National Officials Committee requires that all officials at national meets wear the official USATF Officials Shirt for both indoor and outdoor events. Our association does NOT require the national uniform at our association meets. However, wearing the shirt distinguishes you as a USATF official and brings recognition to your work as an official.
The national uniform is:
- National certification photo ID.
- National uniform polo (shirt tucked in).
- Khaki pants, shorts or skirt.
- Belt, khaki or brown.
- White shoes and socks.
- No hats indoor.
- Blue blazer -- indoor use ONLY if facility is cold.
- National uniform jacket or navy blue jacket/windbreaker outdoors.
- Starters -- indoor and outdoor -- use red sleeves. Red blazers for TV only.
Purchasing Uniforms
Click here to purchase the national uniform polo, hat, raingear (not required), other outerwear and accessories for officials. Also available is a fanny pack that will hold your rulebook, sunglasses, cell phone, etc.
Please note that orders for these items will not be processed unless you include your current USATF Officials Certification Number. If you do not have a recent certification number, contact the Association's certification chair.
