Updated Flyer for 2013 Junior Olympic Championships
An updated flyer is posted for this year's Mid-Atlantic Junior Olympic Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which will be on June 22-23 at Widener University. Two important deadlines: Documents for proof of each athlete's birth date must be received by Mid-Atlantic by JUNE 10. The deadline for entries and payment of entry fees is JUNE 17 at 9 P.M.. These deadlines are strict and cannot be missed. All entries and payments must be done on-line. There are no preliminary meets this year. But there will be Combined Events -- Decathlon, Heptathlon, Pentathlon and Triathlon. (Updated April 27, 2013)

Results are posted here from the 2013 USATF Mid-Atlantic Association Developmental Meet held April 13 at Lincoln High School in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia Girl Sets Fourth U.S. Record
Gabrielle Wilkinson of Philadelphia ran away from the field in the 800 meters for girls aged 13-14 to set an American age-group indoor record of 2:16.98. Wilkinson, who runs for the Mt. Airy Track Club, bested her closest competitors by nearly 10 seconds to win the national title on March 9 at the USATF Youth Indoor Track & Field National Championships at the Prince George’s County Sports and Learning Complex on Saturday. Wilkinson now owns four indoor youth age-group records.

Results In From Youth Indoor Championships
Results are now posted from the 2013 USATF Mid-Atlantic Youth Indoor Track & Field Championships, which were held Jan. 20 in the Schwartz Athletic Center at Widener University. Also, save the dates -- the Youth Outdoor Championships will be held on June 22 and 23 at Widener. Also, Mid-Atlantic is planning a developmental meet for April 13.
Background Screening Process Changes
USATF has changed its background screening processes and criteria for our youth volunteers and coaches, in an effort to make the process more transparent and easier to follow. TC logiQ, Inc. as its youth national background screen provider. TC logiQ will continue to provide the screening, the cost will not change. Results from Junior Olympics Cross Country Championship
The results from the 2012 USATF Mid-Atlantic Association Junior Olympics Cross Country Championship are posted here. The championship was held Nov. 3 at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia. The Region 2 Championship will be held on Sunday, Nov. 18 at Black Creek Park in North Chili, NY, and is sponsored by the USATF Niagara Association. More information is posted here.
